Creatio 8.3: The First AI Agents, an Outlook Add-in and Dashboards for Everyone
Creatio 8.3 Twin (June 2025) introduced AI agents in Creatio.ai, an Outlook add-in, general availability of dashboards, a rebuilt list in Freedom UI and the OAuth authorization code grant. Here is what changed in this release and what to watch out for if you have custom pages and customizations.
Creatio 8.3 Twin was released in June 2025. It is the release in which Creatio.ai started to work as a set of agents rather than individual features. It also introduced a change that calls for caution when upgrading: a rebuilt list in Freedom UI.
Below are the changes we think matter most for B2B companies. You can find the full list in the official Creatio 8.3 release notes.
AI agents in Creatio.ai
Agents are independent modules that automate complex tasks by launching skills or running actions. Creatio switches between agents as the user’s request changes. 8.3 introduced:
- Sales AI assistant: combines all sales skills in one agent,
- Productivity agent: finds open meeting slots across participants’ calendars,
- Case resolution agent: summarizes cases and suggests resolutions in Case Management and Knowledge Management,
- Knowledge agent: summarizes information and generates articles for cases,
- Email generation agent: drafts and refines branded, mobile-ready marketing emails,
- Creatio.ai Agent: handles general requests and helps users navigate the system.
An agent’s name, status and description are set directly in the interface. Users can upload text files to the chat, and no-code creators can attach documents to agents and sub-agents. There is also a sub-agent that enriches a sales opportunity with data from activity transcripts (for example recorded meetings), and an expanded sub-agent that enriches account data (industry, revenue, employee count, contacts), which requires the Apollo.io connector from the Marketplace. The chat panel lets you run several conversations in parallel.
The Creatio.ai add-in for Outlook
The add-in works in Outlook on the web and on the desktop. It has three built-in skills: identifying contacts in a thread, summarizing a message and generating a reply, plus access to the other Creatio skills.
What it gives you: a sales rep doesn’t have to leave the mailbox to check who is in a conversation or to prepare a reply.
Dashboards for everyone
Dashboards in Freedom UI are now generally available. You can group analytics widgets, connect data sources, filter by page data and manage permissions. Preconfigured KPI dashboards are available for 14 sections: Accounts, Calls, Cards, Cases, Chats, Contacts, Contracts, Documents, Financial accounts, Invoices, Leads, Opportunities, Orders and Tasks.
Watch out: the rebuilt list in Freedom UI
The most important warning in this release concerns the list. Creatio says plainly that you should be especially vigilant when updating and should review your customizations thoroughly, because the rebuild might affect existing implementations.
What to do: if you have custom list pages or extensions, test them on a test environment before upgrading production.
Integrations and security
- OAuth authorization code grant. External applications can act on behalf of a user who has given consent. It is managed in the OAuth integrated applications section and on the user profile.
- Encrypted fields: operation-level permissions and masking formats (SSN, SIN, bank card, hide all characters, show only the last 4). Masking is on by default for new fields, and for existing fields you have to select the option to mask the displayed value.
- SOAP improvements (WSDL files with custom headers) and a warning about webhooks whose object codes are not in the Webhook entities lookup.
- jQuery: version 3.5.1 was removed, and only 3.7.1 is supported. If you have custom code that depends on it, check it.
Everyday work
- Browser notifications in Freedom UI (feed, events, processes, approvals, reminders).
- Timeline: live updates, editable messages, preserved line breaks.
- Performance: faster pages with many widgets, faster list sorting and background tab loading.
- Accessibility (WCAG): keyboard access to the summary item menus, better widget colors, larger touch targets and screen reader announcements.
- Variable-length phone numbers, including Indonesian and Italian formats.
Marketing and no-code
You can include or exclude email audiences by folder, without complex filters, and the audience page shows contact license usage. Landing pages can be duplicated together with their forms, images and buttons. Application Hub gained dependency validation before installation and compatible platform versions, and the Freedom UI Designer gained multiple page data sources and many-to-one relationships.
In beta
Stage history on the progress bar (storing previous values for longer than 60 days) and an in-house FileAPI library for .NET. Both required feature flags.
What to check before upgrading
- Custom lists and pages. Test them on a test environment after the list rebuild.
- Custom code using jQuery. Make sure it doesn’t depend on version 3.5.1.
- The account enrichment agent. It requires the Apollo.io connector from the Marketplace.
- Beta. Test beta features on a test environment.
